Author Options and Responsibilities

Option/Responsibility Menu Item Steps
Submit Article Submit New Manuscript
  1. Enter article title
  2. Select article type
  3. Confirm author name, add author names
  4. Copy and paste abstract
  5. Submit required cover letter and manuscript and any other items such as tables/figures (Important! Remember to select a different menu item for each item being submitted. For instance, select Manuscript before submitting a manuscript and select Figure before selecting a figure)
  6. Build PDF for review by journal
  7. Approve submission to journal
Revise Article at Editor's Request (after receiving e-mail from editor and after revising submission) Submissions Needing Revision
  1. Click Submit Revision
  2. Continue same steps as those for Submit Article (above), making any necessary changes along the way.
If Accepted (With Minor Revision), submit Final Revision Submissions Needing Revision *Before submitting final version, download Publication Agreement from Editorial Manager Homepage and fax to Editor's office (213-821-4160) along with any permissions forms
  1. Click Submit Revision
  2. Continue same steps as those for Submit Article (above), making any necessary changes along the way.
Letters You Receive
Submission Confirmation This e-mail can be sent for new manuscripts as well as revisions. It is simply to let you know that the Journal has received your submission/revision.
Manuscript Number Has Been Assigned This e-mail is sent once an editor is assigned to your manuscript.
Your Submission This letter will inform you that (1) you need to Revise your submission or (2) your submission has been Accepted or Rejected
